Burning Bush was an all female power trio from Phoenix, AZ active from 1987 - 1993. They were forerunners of the Riot Grrl movement and active opposers of nuclear testing and the right wing agenda. Their music can be described as psychedelic post-punk infused with funk, as they evolved, they maintained their pop sensibility by deftly balancing hooks with beautifully performed call & answer vocals.
